Our goal is to offer ourselves as pleasing sacrifice to God for the reparation of the sins of the world and to bring the entire creation to the Father through the Eucharistic Lord.
Our spirituality is the Eucharistic spirituality centered on the Holy Eucharist and the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It consists in our becoming holocaust in order to give life to others.
The spirit of our congregation is self-sacrifice, the essence of which is an attitude of self-gift and asceticism. This spirit permeates our vowed life, prayer life, community life. All who come in contact with us would experience the merciful love of the Eucharistic Lord.
Our Charism is the devotion to the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharistic devotion consists in a life of total surrender, results a deep experience of His presence within our heart. Our founder, Venerable Mar Thomas Kurialassery, shared this charism with Mother Mary Francisca De Chanthal, the co-foundress and first member of the congregation.
Motivated by the vision of the founder to make the Eucharistic Lord known, loved, and adored by all, mission and evangelization has been given due importance and in 1865, our sisters took up the challenge of extending their services to the other states in India outside Kerala. His Holiness Pope Paul VI raised our congregation to the pontifical status on 11th February 1968. At present the SABS has taken roots in 72 Latin dioceses and 24 Syro- Malabar dioceses across the globe. The SABS stepped in to the Dark Continent (Kenya, and Tanzania) with great Zeal and courage to proclaim the good news and to bring its inhabitants to the light of the gospel.
